has devasted the Queensland area of Australia - half a
million people without electricity, tens of thousands of
homes flooded, and the third largest city, Brisbane is

goods to the QLD Flood Appeal Auctions organized by

Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope all of you are
having a wonderful holiday creating memories with your
family and loved ones. I didn't mean to leave you hanging
but the last few days got away from me and I just didn't
make it back to the computer for more posts.

I'll be blogging lightly over the next week or so,
enjoying time with my kids and getting the house back in

I'm a Guest Blogger at Whip Up!

I am thrilled to let you know that I am the guest
blogger over on Whip Up today! In preparation for
a Handmade Holiday, I have shared some of my
favorite crafts that kids can make and give as gifts.

On a sentimental note, I've been blogging for six
years this month and Kathreen (creator of Whip Up)
was my partner in one of the first swaps I participated in,
Back-Tack (any old-timers out there remember that?).
The Crafty Crow was just a twinkle in my eye back then
but it has been a real treat watching craft bloggers find
their niche and develop it and for crafting in general
to become a mainstream movement. I can't wait
to see what will happen in the next six!

Exciting New Venture! The Crafty Crow Italia!

I am so happy to be able to tell you that one
of the projects I have been working on has come
to fruition! The Crafty Crow Italia is making its debut
today! And, if it's not obvious, it is an Italian
version of The Crafty Crow ;)

Of course, there was no way I would be able to do this
by myself and without the help of Claudia and my sister
it would have stayed on my "to do" list forever.

Claudia is the author of the wonderful blog,
La Casa Nella Prateria, and will be in charge of handling
submissions, searching for craft ideas and creating all the
posts. Claudia, Italian by birth but currently living in the
south of France (poor girl), is a professional blogger and
translator and mother to three little cuties. In addition,
she's a pretty darn talented crafter too!


My sister, Cami, blogs at Full Circle but will also
be taking on more duties here as The Crafty Crow
continues to grow. We've got a lot in the works so
you'll here more about Cami in the future as well :)
