With only wax paper and crayons, you can make these pretty melted wax snowflakes found at Dilly-Dali Art. The glitter on the edges adds a nice sparkle when they are hung in the window.
The Artful Parent has a great post that includes photos and tips of all of their melted bead experiments. At the bottom of her post are links to basic instructions and more. This lovely angel ornament is made from cardboard and wire wings with tissue paper. Found at Pintalalluna, there's not a lot of detail on how it's made but maybe you crafty ones can figure it out.
