I have a new Q-tips craft for you -
a Rainbow Marble Maze!
Design your own maze or copy mine, older kids
will have fun making it and younger kids will have
fun playing with it. I used a little wood ball but a
marble or anything similar will do.
What You Need:
24 Q-tips (I used Precision Tips)
gold metallic acrylic paint
small paint brush
8" x 11½" sturdy cardboard
green tempera paint
foam brush
cardstock
markers in rainbow colors
thick white glue
pencil
scissors
wire clippers
small wood ball or similar to fit the maze path
*optional: Japanese masking tape or similar
How To Make It:
Paint Q-tips with the gold paint and set aside to dry.
Use the foam brush to paint the cardboard
with green tempera paint and let dry.
Copy my maze pattern or create your own.
If using my pattern, here are the numbers
I used for each size; use the wire
cutters to trim the Q-tips.
Glue the Q-tips in place on your green cardboard.
From the cardstock, cut out your own rainbow
large enough to span your path or you can print
a copy of mine. Cut, color and fold the rainbow
then glue it across the end of your run.
If desired, trim the edge of the cardboard with
Japanese masking tape or something similar
like painter's tape or ribbon.
Have fun!
