Last week I shared the Spangles Foamies Party Platter
that featured a rainbow of colors and showed you
how to make miniature accordion books.
Well, there is also a Foamies Sports Party Platter and
I'm going to show you how to make a garland, cupcake
toppers, treat bag holder and party favors super quick
and easy all from one platter! What's great about craft
foam is that you can save everything and use them
again. The Foamies Party Platters are part of the
Creatology line by Darice at Michael's.
Sports Garland
Materials:
sports theme foamies
glue dots
yarn
Directions:
Couldn't be easier! Lay your foam shapes face down
in the order, and spacing, you want for your garland.
Stick a glue dot on each one, a little above the center.
Cut your yarn the length of your foam shapes
that are all lined up, and then stick the yarn
to the back of each shape.
Treat Bag Holders and Party Favors
Materials:
trophy foam shapes
small clothespins
magnets
glue dots
thick white glue
dimensional paint or permanent marker
small paper sacks
Directions:
Write names on the trophy foam shapes and let dry.
Use the glue dots to glue the foam shape to the
clothespin. Use thick white glue to glue the
magnet to the clothespin.
The clips hold and label the treat bags and they
double as a party favor too - just stick them on the fridge
to show off your superstar! That's my boy, Mr. Steam!
Cupcake Toppers
Materials:
sports foam shapes
toothpicks or skewers
glue dots
Directions:
Use a couple of glue dots on the back of the foam
shapes to attach the toothpick then stick
them in the cupcakes. Easy!
The Foamies Sports Party Platters have a bunch of
foam shapes plus there's pompoms, sequins, sticky
back gems and a big stack of adhesive foam stickers
to craft with too - 600 pieces in all!
