The
situation with my father has gotten worse.
He didn't have a stroke as we were told by two different
neurologists, he has a brain tumor - multiple tumors -
CNS lymphoma to be exact. We are devastated. My
mother and sister and I have been in the hospital with
him for the last few weeks. The tumor is aggressive and
difficult to treat and our only option is chemotherapy or
not do anything. The chemotherapy is rigorous, but my
father is very healthy for his age and determined to fight
it, so he started treatment a few days ago. We still have
seven weeks to go. When he is not having chemotherapy
in the hospital, which is about a five day stay, he will be
in rehab. Both facilities are over two hours from where
we live. I'm exhausted mentally and physically and when
I do have a moment I feel frozen, not knowing which way
to go, how to think, or what to do. I will do my best to
get some posts up, but I know you'll understand if things
are a bit sporadic and I don't respond to your emails. I
want to feel that I can get through this but I'm feeling a
bit lost as how to do that. If you have any words of
encouragement, or speak from experience, I
would so appreciate hearing from you.
