If your little one needs a lot of reassurance at bedtime then this post and tutorial at Crafting Connections may be helpful. They created this sweet dreamcatcher with vintage lace and beads but I also think a vintage doily (find them at a thrift shop) would make a good substitute too. Love this!
I think this punched tin bird mobile is just wonderful and you might be surprised at how simple it is to create. Visit The Tiny Funnel for the details of how to make this fun summer time project.
I have a really cute craft book to share with you today! It's called Adventures in Pompom Land
and has 25 different heirloom quality animals that you can make from pompoms!
These are handmade pompoms made of wool yarn, not like the ones you buy by the bag at the craft store. The pompoms are then trimmed and shaped to become the sweetest little animals you ever saw. Many of them have felt and felted wool roving as added features.
There are instructions for all the techniques used and plenty of pictures for each project. I was most amazed at how the subtle shaping of the pompoms really brings each animal to life.
One of my favorites is this adorable fluffy-tailed gray squirrel and the author has graciously shared the tutorial here for you to give it a try!
